He Who Has The Bigger Stick Is BossReader comment on item: The Ninth 9/11 Submitted by Geoff (Canada), Sep 12, 2010 at 18:42 Alessandro, I understand what you expressed; but you my friend also live in a country where freedom is important as life itself! Imagine living in a country where someone takes over your land, begins to eliminate your culture, denies you your place of worship, even persecutes and will kill you if you don't change to their ways... I'm not talking about fantasy: I am talking about a real situation right now in Northern Cyprus, where muslim Turkey invaded, and are systematically closing down churches, selling churches as private property, even persecution of Christian citizens who still live there (I wonder what the Pope would say to that) ! It appears that in human history, those who are the more powerful, they make the rules. In the Western world (which includes YOUR country), we have learned to welcome and tolerate different groups, whether we agree with their ways or not. But muslims do not tolerate you; if they do, they do it because they are weak and cannot destroy you, for now. Alessandro, look at the Nazis and learn: they "played nice" with everyone until they were strong and ready to take over the world. Lucky for you and me they did not, but millions died because of their intolerance. You want another example? Look at Soviet Communism: they "played nice" but their goal was to control you and your thinking, and your future. No freedom. But you see Alessandro, there is nothing sweeter than freedom for a human being, free to express (as you did here) without fear. Someone burned a book; millions of islamic intolerants were ready to tear you to pieces if you were there. Do you want to be ruled by such a group with such a religion, my friend? If you do, do this experiment: get into a plane, go fly over to Afghanistan, and try to live a Christian/Catholic life. I think you will then appreciate how precious your freedom is (and your lovely country)! Burning a book is wrong only because it may endager the life of our soldiers, but soldiers they are, and their job is no picnic (just as my grandfather's job was no picnic when he fought the Nazis). Your liberty was paid for by someone who died for you because he took the risk to defend FREEDOM. I'd rather be under the rule of Freedom than the rule of islamic slavery. God bless.
