The Left is civilization's death wish

When I was very small, "progressive" was a reliable indicator that someone worshiped Stalin. It went on to mean admirers of Mao Zedong, Ho Chi Minh, Fidel Castro, and Che Guevara. "Progressives" invariably pretended to not know of the over 150,000,000 slaughtered by their heroes in the name of "liberation". Today, despite having had the problem rubbed in their faces by the Southeast Asian boat people and the Cuban boatlift, they use their control of the MSM to hide the ugly record of their movement--even though the number of political victims during the 20th century alone outnumber all the victims of the Crusades and Inquisitions between Constantine in the 300's and the hanging of David Aikenhead for heresy in Scotland at the end of the 17th century.

The Left's tactical alliance with Islamic radicalism has convinced me that the Left is nothing but Western civilization's death wish. Justice Breyer recently suggesting that burning the Qur'an may not be protected by the First Amendment (after a generation of Supreme Court-supported blasphemy against Christian belief and symbols) tells me that the Left (except, perhaps, for Nat Hentoff) does not really love the First Amendment. The cowardice of Comedy Central over threats of Islamic violence suggests the same. If the Islamic radicals win, the Left's assault against "organized religion" will soon be silenced. If the Islamic redicals win, the Left's beloved liberated women will be turned into chattel of fathers or husbands and put into burqas. And, if the Islamic radicals win, the African slave trade will be reopened--aided and abetted by people like Keith Ellison of Minnesota.

Not too long ago, one of the people from Comedy Central told Christians he was glad they were "good eggs" about the insults his company daily spews at them and good, First Amendment-supporting Americans--a tacit admission that Muslims want to take away our liberty, and Comedy Central's executives will help them. How I wish I would have been there! I would have told him that I though he was full of [expletive deleted].
