That Day

The fear and terror of wondering whether I'd be dead by the end of the day or perhaps my son would be on that train or in that building or on the street corner where a suicide bomber exploded his device.

I knew on September 11th what is was like to be an Israeli. I have passed that place, that hallowed ground almost every day for ten years and I still cannot go into the Memorial Museum nor can I walk by without thinking about those who were slaughtered and their families who mourn for them still. I will grieve for them and for our country until I die. The worry will be there forever.

There are no new lessons to be learned. The old ones should still haunt us and teach us that those who let loose their dogs of war to wallow in our blood should be punished by our military and our dear friends, our greatest ally, Israel, must be protected at all costs. If it happens to them it will happen to us.

Obama despises both us and Israel. He, instead, embraces our enemies who slaughter us. As a testimony to his loathing he will be make sure that Iran becomes a nuclear power. He will leave office and the world to face an enemy who threatens annihilation daily, and unlike the old Soviet Union has neither the brains nor the expertise to manage a nuclear arsenal.
