JFK.Reader comment on item: Memories of John F. Kennedy's Inauguration Submitted by AlbertE. (United States), Jan 29, 2011 at 09:44 The legacy of JFK is mixed. We cannot be and should not be nostalgic and sentimental about the man in the aftermath of all the revelations. Lots of young American men joined the military to fight communism in Vietnam and died. ['bear any burden, pay any price, fight any fight"]. Did so thinking very well they were following the message of JFK. JFK and his cohorts used the Green Berets, the CIA and the other Cold Warriors in a bad way with very bad consequences for not only them but for us and future generations too. All these "experts" have been searching for someone that is in the JFK image, an image and not substance. Such is the power of the TV media. And they found that man [at least the Daley boys and Ted Kennedy did] in Obama. Be careful what you wish for.
