I have reason to believe that you are correct in your assessments of the situation in Tunsia for the reasons you have stated. Indeed, I see such popular revolts as much more threatening to the Islamist cause than anything that the Islamists could cause of themselves simply because it is a revolt against repression and there is nothing more corrupt and repressive than an Islamist dictatorship.
