Something Uncanny

The Falastin Arabs have started claiming descent from the ancient Canaanites--and here they now have a similar cult of death and the immolation of their own, the precise sins that were not "full" when God would not allow Abraham to inherit the land of the promise, sins for which Moses and Joshua were given those most chilling commands for genocide, and sins which Israel imitated, and for which it was exiled to Babylonia.

Killings like this one have made me lose any sympathy for the Falastin Arab cause that I ever had. It's best for the Arab states to naturalize their Falastin refugees and offspring, and for Israel to wall off the West Bank and Gaza and let them go their way--except to hit them hard whenever they start firing rockets into Israel.
