Turkey is NOT hostile to the USReader comment on item: On the Eve of Turkey's Elections ... Submitted by Ahmet (United States), Jun 10, 2011 at 01:11 Really, get real! Turkey is not hostile to the US. Look at its stellar record as a NATO ally. Look at Turkey's assistance to the US in George Bush's botched Iraq war. To call Turkey hostile to the US is disgusting and repugnant. Were Turkey to decide to be hostile to the US, (or any other territory for that matter) you would know about it!. Turkey is a strong and confident nation that is emerging as an important world power. Don't be concerned by the fact that its people are Muslim. Religious freedom has always been respected by the Turks. And go back in history and study Palestine: Don't you think it might be better to put Turkey in charge? Turks are peace-loving people. Why ... negativity about Turkey?
