If my comments weren't clear enough, I am of course referring to Turkey's visibly altered and tougher stance towards Israel, notably since the events of the Gaza war in 2008/2009, and following the Flotilla incident. See Erdogan's Davos speech following the Gaza war.

I don't see how population numbers have any relevance to the matter however. To clarify the 'standing up to Israel' comment, this is of course referring to the tougher stance they have adopted towards Israel in case that wasn't clear enough.
