Ananda

Ananda Mahidol, the current king's older brother, was declared king in 1935 at just age 10. He died in "mysterious circumstances," according to all offical Thai histories, with a headshot wound in Bangkok's Grand Palace on the morning of July 9 in 1946. The crown passed to Bhumibol as Ananda had no heir of his own.
