Ruby Ridge, IdahoReader comment on item: In Praise of NYC's Muscular Counterterrorism Submitted by Iona (United States), Oct 9, 2011 at 02:49 <" . . . counterterrorism primarily involves feel-good measures such as improving civil rights, passing anti-discrimination laws, and displaying goodwill to Islamists."> This practice is hard to understand. I lived for many years in Spokane Valley, WA - which is only five minutes via the Interstate from the Idaho/Washington State Line. Washington and Idaho used to be a hotbed of extreme Neo- Nazis. May still be but I cannot state for certain as I no longer live in the N.W. Further, for a five year period, I lived "within spitting distance" of Ruby Ridge. If the reader does not know about Ruby Ridge, use your search engine. I know for a fact neither of these groups were afforded "goodwill" by the Feds. How can we afford goodwill to someone who would rather see us dead than come to dinner at our house?
