Hold the falafel! Don't bother to celebrate.

So far in the Middle East we have, with Obama's encouragement, created three sharia states. In very short order the Muslim Brotherhood in some guise will control Tunisia, Egypt and Libya. As soon as we leave Iraq Malaki can finish his journey to the orbit of Iran. Nice work!

Former President George Bush bears the primary responsibility for subjecting us to years of rhetoric defending the Iraqi war. His claim to building democracy in Iraq should have been laughable. If we had wanted such a democracy in Iraq we would not have acquiesced in allowing the Iraqi Consitution to be in compliance with sharia law. Sharia is totally incompatible with Western style freedom.

My father used to tell a joke which was a veiled cautionary tale about unwarranted optimism. A man leaped out of the 20th story of an office building, and, as he passed the 10th floor he yelled: "So far, so good."
