You were very kind to Debanjan BanerjeeReader comment on item: 'Palestinian-ism' is only a Muslim tactic to help destroy the Jewish state Submitted by Ted (United States), Jan 2, 2012 at 22:27 Dear Dr Pipes: You responded to Debanjan Banerjee in a very kind manner when he speculated that "the discord between the "secular elite" and "ultra orthodox" may end up in the overthrowal of the secular elite and a religious theocracy clatching (sic) nuclear weapons in an extremely volatile region.". Debanjan deserves no such kindness. He should know that unlike his darling Islamic world, the rest of the world knows how to resolve discords without murders, bombing, suicide bombings, and beheadings. Your response was both polite and correct. Yes, Israel has its problems but they are small compared to the threats that it faces. In fact, if it were possible to replace Israel's neighbors, it would be the most prosperous and peaceful country. Debanjan should rather worry about Saudi Arabia and Iran becoming like Somalia and Ethiopia due to violent politics that they love.
