Obama's friendsReader comment on item: How Barack Obama Sees the United States Submitted by Stas (Ukraine), Aug 16, 2012 at 13:27 There are many of Obama's friends and affiliations that should have received greater scrutiny, just as Huma Abedin should have in the State Dept. But the press who is normally responsible for investigative reporting, was biased in favor of Obama and wanted to minimize it to get him elected. This was as transparent as it was disillusioning to those of us who noticed. A free press is a hallmark of our society, and though it may still be technically free, it is not independently opinioned. The likelihood of these associations, and they are all significant ones Rashid Khalidi, William Ayers, Tony Rezko, Rev Wright, etc. etc. (here is a balanced article that references some of them http://www.talkleft.com/story/2008/4/17/151133/172 ) being brought up by this press is remote to none. The reasons that the press did what they did in 2008 still stand for 2012. I wish it were otherwise, but it isn't. And we must rely on the percentage of American voters who care enough to do the research on their own rather than believing the press talking points.
