Invincible ignoranceReader comment on item: Another Islamist Assault, Another Western Cringe Submitted by Moshe A (United States), Sep 13, 2012 at 15:02 This is amazing to watch play out. As if this video was the cause (which I don't believe was the cause) to escalate Muslims to fight on a faster timeline. As a pastor, what I find amazing is the willful and determined ignorance on the part of liberals to ignore facts. If they studied this Pre-Islamic Arabia religion, you have to come to the conclusion that it does maintain truth from the historical writings. But, they are self proclaimed scholars, quick to condemn any who oppose the faith of Muslims. Yet again, have never seriously studied the Hadiths and the Quran in the light of the Scriptures. They get their theology from CAIR and The Huffington Post or other sources who spread propaganda and lies. The ones apologizing in the light of the attacks have never sat down and read the corresponding contradictions between the two religions, yet maintain the Judeo-Christian God is the same as the god of Islam. My point is we are having innocent people murdered daily because nobody with knowledge and chutzpa will stand up to this anti-messiah religion. May I post the following clear contradictions for those who don't know what I am talking about. Sura 41:9,10,12 (Pickthall) tell us creation was done in eight days. Verse 9: who created the earth in TWO days. Verse 10:He placed therien firm hills rising above it, and blessed it and measured there-in its sustenance in FOUR days. Verse 12: Then he ordained them seven heavens in TWO days. TWO plus FOUR plus TWO = EIGHT. MY children could count this as well. People of the Book, illiterate non believers, or even in general, the garden variety pagan, have either read the account from the Scriptures or have heard it from another person or source and are familiar with the number of days and know that the Genesis account reads SIX days. Genesis 1:31 " Elohiym saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. In case there is any question regarding the number, then you simply quote from a corresponding passage found in Exodus 20:11; "For in six days YHVH made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore YHVH blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy." Six days...that is up until the same god sent new revelation? He now had a change of heart and decided it was 8 days. Are we so stupid to believe the first HISTORICAL account is now changed by the same god in a more recent revelation? I have a problem with this because YHVH has spoken concerning His nature, and He has said He DOES NOT change in Malachi 3. And if this new revelation wipes out the old revelation then whose to say it stops there? All religions can arise and present new revelation. Eenie meenie miney moe, this new passage stays and the old one goes. It is no longer the word of God established in the heavens if it can be doctored or altered or revised by self proclaimed prophets. What about other history from the Scripture? Again, another example of some "Biblical" knowledge that most of us grew up with and that is the story of Noah. Now don't peek, but let me ask you; how many sons did Noah have? How many got into the great ship to escape the flood? And where did the great ship rest? If you answered 3, and 3 and you said Ararat, you are right on! But once again, we have a new revelation telling us the first account given in Scripture was not accurate. Surah 11:32-48 (Again, in my hot little hands I am reading from Pickthall) it begins the story in vs. 32, but let me get to the specific point of contradiction beginning in vs. 42 where Noah is crying to one of his sons and says "Noah cried unto his son-and he was standing aloof-O my son! Come ride with us, and be not with the disbelievers. He said; I shall take to the mountain that will save me from the water. (Noah) said; This day there is none that save from the commandment of allah save him on whom he had mercy. And the wave came in among them, so he was among the drowned. Vs. 44-And it was said: O earth! Swallow thy water and O sky! be cleared of clouds! And the water was made to subside. And the commandment was fulfilled. and it (the ship) came to rest upon (the mount) Al-Judi and it was said; a far removal for wrongdoing folk. Again we have a blatant contradiction presented in the new revelation. The names of the sons are given in Genesis 7 and all three are said to have entered into the great ship in Vs 13; "On the very same day Noah and Shem and Ham and Japeth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark." The Muslim will argue that the Scripture has the inaccuracy, but the Quran stands. Again, if this is allowed then every religion, even Scientology and other mind science cults, are allowed the same courtesy. Another historical truth presented to us in the Scripture is the model where Abraham was told to sacrifice his unique son, Isaac. Genesis 22:2 reads; "Take now your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains on which I will tell you." This would present God's people with a shadow of a reality to come. We are given a heads up that in the future the Father, would offer His unique son (salvation would be personified and tabernacle among us) as a sacrifice. The Messenger made this clear when He said God would provide for Himself the lamb, (in the future) and so, Abraham finished with a ram provided for a temporary sacrifice, and the doctrine of justification was announced. No where do you read Ishmael was the targeted sacrifice. Isaac is always said to be the child of specific promises. Nevertheless, Islam teaches, once again, this was not the case. In Surah 37:100-112 we are told Ishmael is the sacrifice. If this is true the the New Testament is a fraud in its entirety and Yeshua was a liar and deceived us. These contradictions prove someone is right and someone is wrong. The newer revelation must be judged in the light of the older/reliable revelation.
