Hope You're RightReader comment on item: Israel at Peace Submitted by Kepha Hor (United States), Dec 16, 2012 at 20:36 Dr. Pipes, I hope you are right about an Arab-Israeli peace around the 2030's. The Bible I read tells me to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, so I do. However, I think a great deal of intractability will remain. Israel is a standing insult to Islam's self-image as the conquering, ever-victorious final religion. Further, should the Islamist wave break on the rock of Israel's unwillingness to go extinct (which may indeed very well happen), I suggest that while such an event may sour many Arab peoples on their Islamicist rulers, those Arab peoples will still have their amour propre hurt and opt for a new round of secular dictators promising to avenge the defeat rather than question why they can't tolerate a Jewish Indian Reservation in their midst.
