No Brainer PROVIDEDReader comment on item: Using Cold War Tactics to Confront Iran Submitted by john w mcginley (United States), Jan 10, 2013 at 09:58 If the President's name were Reagan; or Eisenhower; or, even, JFK, the advice of the article would be perfect. In case you guys didn't notice the present President's last name is Obama. It simply is not in Obama's to confront anything, or anyone, except Republicans. To be sure this narcissist who is our President would negotiate now that Hagel is our man in Defense. Result: we give/they take. By the way: Obama has renewed his lease on the White-House for four more years ((and don't be surprised if he is still President eight years from now; he would treasure beating FDR length of tenure)). We crossed the "tipping point" with Obama's re-election. And never forget that over 50% of Americans voted for Obama. The problem is not so much with Obama, but rather in the hearts and minds of the American people. Did anyone whisper "Athens"? Daniel Pipes replies: Accepting your point about Obama, there is every reason to make good ideas available for the administration and for general consideration. Reader comments (24) on this item
