in response to reader comment: intellectual armenians

havas ,

What do you think of Oslamli proverbs ? Formidable stuff , isn't it ? Anyway, do you consider yourself to be an intellectual or just are satisfied with the role of a relay station for thoughtless Turkish propaganda which so far you have brilliantly demonstrated ?

> if we have exterminated all armenians how come you are still alive? or the ones in lebanon, france, usa, canada, all over the world? did they come from other planets?<

Are you also a holocaust denier ? In your logic " if the nazis have exterminated all Jews how come they are are still alive? or the ones in Israel, france, usa, canada, all over the world? did they come from other planets?"

Do you know that unlike you and your ilk Turkish communists have no problem recognizing the Armenian genocide ? I guess this is why they have been persecuted and hunted down in Kemalist Turkey so ruthlessly. They bring cacophony into the Turkish choir of unison-by-rote genocide denial. So unkind of them! Woe to him who tells the truth in Turkey !

> and do you have any opinion about millions of turks who lived for hundreds of years in the balkans and caucasia? what happened to them? where are they?<

You already know that the educated Osmalis didn't consider themselves Turks at all. "Turk" was a word of abuse meaning "barbarian" "savage", so how did you find those "millions of turks" ? According to whose statistics and definition ? Your own Koalemos' head or your local imam's ?

> or what happened to karabağ? azeri lands and tens of azeri people who were living there, in very recent years?<

I have dealt with Khojaly in a post called " Turkish victimization comedy" . If you're too lazy to go there, I summed up the gist of the matter as follows :

> We have a number of studies on what happened. The Human Rights Organization "Memorial" published the results of its investigation as has Human Right Watch. They show that what you call 'a genocide' was first of all the storm of a fortified and defended town from which the Azeris had wilfully refused to evacuate before the civilians either hoping to beat the Armenians back with Turkey's or Allah's help or cynically exposing them to danger to blame the Armenians for expected casualties among them. You could well foresee that intense shelling of the town would cause not only material damage to teh buildings and trenches.

What you leave unmentioned -or are unaware of - is that the Armenians left two exit routes for the refugees and when they saw that these routes were used by the Azeris who hid among civilians they opened fire. In the ensuing combat many people were killed, including women and children. But most death was due to frost and hunger when the survivors -mostly women and children - were erring in the surrounding mountains in full Transcaucasian winter. "Memorial" points out in its conclusion "In Agdam the ( Azeri ) State Forensic investigation of 181 bodies found in Hodjali took place - 130 males , 51 women and 13 children. It has been found out that 151 people died as a result of wounds from bullets, 20 people of bomb splitters, 10 people died hit by blunt objects." It seems to confirm the above mentioned events.

And what sense would it make to intentionally kill Azeri women and children when they were needed to exchange them for Armenians captured by the Azeris ? In this war the living were ofen more important than the dead. And in fact "Memorial" confirms , relying on both Azeri and Armenian sources, that up to 28.03.92 the Armenains handed over to the Azeris c. 700 women and children and some men captured in Hodjali. If this was "a genocide", then it belongs to the strangest "genocides" I know. Unfortunately, Turks are notorious for perpetrating only conventional types of genocides.<

I hope such a refined Turkish intellectual and servant of Koalemos as you might also be interested in my old post " Turkey's thwarted invasion of Armenia in 1992/1993" .

> yes you poor armenians, cry some more loudly , ask help from everybody...all the world is sick of tired of you.<

Or ,maybe tired of you …Turks and of your sickening lies and crimes and bloody history of never ending aggressions and genocides.

And incidentally, I am 100% Polish so your insinuation I am Armenian turns out to be as insipid and absurd as anything else that comes from your keyboard.
