Islamists as well as politicians are to blameReader comment on item: Islamist Assassinations in the West Submitted by sara (United States), Mar 5, 2013 at 19:38 Myth, I agree with you in regards to the abhorrent treatment that Aayan received due to Dutch Political correctness, misplaced interpretations of discrimination, etc. That was my point- that women such as Ayaan end up being betrayed by the system they are trying to support because of fear and cowardice to confront the cultural differences. The reluctance to address the problem is the root cause, as we know. However, I would not be so quick to let the Islamists off the hook. If they were not perpetrating what they perpetrate, there would not be a problem in the first place. It is almost ingenious how they have adapted to using our democracies and humanitarian laws against us. It is the same reason that feminists worldwide can look at themselves in the mirror and not feel hypocritical in the least while they abandon Muslim women to their violent and tortuous fates by convincing themselves that they are honoring 'cultural 'differences'.
