Sharon: Listen to Pipes!

Sharon is taking Israel backward, to the disingenuous, dangerous ways of Oslo and ceasefires that only weakened Israel and exposed the Jewish State's Achilles Heel to the Arabs -- that being Israel's willingness to accept false intentions of peace from the Palestinians instead of real results, as Daniel Pipes so eloquently put it to Tony Jones.

Why is Sharon doing this? Why is Abbas any different from Arafat all of a sudden, for no good reason?

We know that the world will always pressure Israel to make all the concessions to the Palestinians, but Sharon shouldn't cower to international forces and instead should rather uphold his duty to his citizens. I'm very disappointed in Sharon for betraying Israel and I'm very worried about Israel's security as the country moves back to old policies that we learned, so very painfully, did not work back in the year 2000.

Wasn't the hangover from the 1990s failures bad enough? Why go back down this road again? I just don't get it.
