Why am I not surprised?Reader comment on item: Mainstream Jewish Institutions Celebrate Anti-Zionists Submitted by john w mcginley (United States), Apr 8, 2013 at 10:03 This is more scary than one might suppose. My own personal view is that if Israel (Judaism; "Beit Yisrael") disappears from history then Humankind Itself will disappear from History. In God's plan, "Israel" is surrogative for all of Humankind. If "Beit Yisreal" disappears Humankind disappears soon after. In Israel proper there is still a healthy tilt towards recognizing that the nation Israel and "Beit Yisrael" as a whole requires hard decisions and a willingness not to be "popular.' But "Beit Yisrael" in the Diaspora is quickly sliding into some "universalist" mirage. The organizations which you have listed in your report are blind. And here is the paradox: The greater good and continuation of all mankind is predicated on the survival and continuation of "Beit Yisreal" as a whole and the nation of Israel in particular. The very goals which these blind organizations promote will contribute to the disappearance of "Beit Yisrael' as a whole, the core of which is the Nation israel. When that happens, Humankind itself will follow suit rather quickly. These goals of these organizations are basically masochistic. They diminish the very condition for the possibility of Humankind by contributing to a weakening of "Beit Yisrael" as a whole and to Israel the Nation in particular. Attmpting to put the greater good of Humanity as a whole over "Beit Yisrael' is precisely the formula for destroying Humankind as a whole. There are none so blind as those who WILL not see.
