Saving BritainReader comment on item: Daniel Pipes on terrorism, the Middle East and the Islamization of the West Submitted by Brits (United States), May 27, 2013 at 01:09 While I am encouraged that Mr. Pipes feels that Islam can evolve from its centuries-old Muslim supremacy ideology to a more modern, moderate and neighborly Islam, I must confess that I cannot agree with that viewpoint. It is too long a stretch of the imagination and I cant see this as actually happening. What I do see is the opposite. As pointed out, there are hundreds of Shariah law courts in the London area, polygamy is accepted, no alcohol available in many neighborhoods, to name just a few ways that Shariah has infiltrated British society. I find this to be very dangerous. Since this is a phenomenon that has taken place during the last twenty years or so and has changed the face of Britain so dramatically already, one has to ask "when will it end.." Will all of Britain eventually fall under the Muslim-driven Shariah umbrella. The blame clearly lies with the British government's lack of conviction, and lack of courage to say "enough is enough". We do not accept this state of affairs and we must call a halt and rein in those elements among the Muslim community who advocate a separate mini British state run by the Muslims and all others are unwelcome. There has obviously been a gigantic overreach by the Muslim population, which brings up the matter of why there are so many Muslims in the country in the first place. Surely it had become apparent that this was their modus operandi and by this time the British should be fully cognizant of what is happening to their country. If they want to save their country they must act fast and fully. They should not be afraid that they are offending anyone or discriminating against anyone, Muslim or other faith, they are simply defending themselves and they have a right to do so. The sooner the better. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
