caricature from 1932Reader comment on item: Daniel Pipes on terrorism, the Middle East and the Islamization of the West Submitted by myth (Germany), May 29, 2013 at 03:01 RCCA, critics of the Nazi-movement early on did believe the Nazis would deliver. They saw the Nazis uniting the nation under one banner marching toward a future of a thousand years. What would the nature of that future be? Look at Paul Weber's vision of that future as he sketched it in 1932: http://www.weber-museum.de/werk/widerstand/images/verhaengnis.jpg Uniting all people under the banner of islam will follow the footsteps earlier ideologies. Symbols and logos change while the greater picture remains familiar as illustrated by the caricature from 1932. The critics in the thirties were deeply pessimistic about the rise of ideology, yet hey foresaw the ultimate defeat of an evil ideology.
