degradedReader comment on item: Daniel Pipes on terrorism, the Middle East and the Islamization of the West Submitted by myth (Germany), May 28, 2013 at 14:34 Brits, perhaps Margaret Thatcher was the one who degraded citizens to consumers, Britain to a market place. Now the British muslims reinvent British identity, not quite as respectable as the old. Not quite based on British heritage. However I see a link. London is a sort of scaled down image of the Empire gone. But this replacement is a mirror image with things upside down. It is the colonies taking control of Britain, shooting soldiers in the streets. During the Norman Conquest you swallowed one half of an invader language. Today I am more confident.
