Perhaps God has something to do with the levels of happiness and content in His land

Here in the US, both in the Midwest and in the South we affectionately call our states "God's country" because we recognize that all our bounty comes from God.

Seems strange that when writing about happiness and good things in Israel, of which it is written … God's eyes are upon it from the beginning to the end of the year, that we couldn't find room to acknowledge that's its good fortune and success may just be by the grace of God.

I am huge fan of your writings and have been following them since I first stumbled upon them in the Wall Street Journal last century. God Bless you
