Happy Israel, The Apple of God's Eye.

Israel and its people have survived for over 2000 years, there will be more wars and strife too. There have been disasters and attacks, persecution, and tyrants always trying to destroy Israel to no avail. A people that are self-sufficient and weathered to chaos are a people that understand enemies will never be satisfied. They have a mental understanding of what it takes to survive in spite of evil! The fact that the Messiah came from the Line of David also determines that God chose Jerusalem as his Holy city where he put his name forever. II kings 21:7.
