Demonstration against Morsi and Demonstration against Erdogan

Dear Dr Pipes,

DNM informed us about the planned demonstration against Morsi on June 30. Have we not just seen a similar demonstration against Erdogan in Turkey?. I consider these events predictable. The more elections Islamists win, the sooner they will be able to execute their agenda. The sooner they deploy their agenda, the quicker they will fail. The more quickly they fail, the faster they will disappear. Syria is just two years behind. Islamists are fighting against Assad just like they fought against Mubarak.

All these regimes will eventually be replaced by secular democracies. It is not a matter of if. It is a matter of when. This will happen because non-democratic systems of governance have more faults than democratic system and they are all unsustainable. What the free world needs to do is to continue a relentless campaign against those aspects of Islamic socio-political theories that are hypocritical, unsymmetric, or anti-freedom. And we should never give up on this campaign.
