The case against MorsiReader comment on item: Discussing Egypt and Islam Submitted by David W. Lincoln (Canada), Jul 15, 2013 at 13:29 Daniel, I can't help but think that http://opinion.financialpost.com/2013/07/09/morsis-financial-legacy-black-markets-and-a-shameful-economic-record/ needs to be taken into consideration, and frankly when Egypt's reputation was dragged through the mud, thanks to Egypt, (I refer to the ongoing persecution of the Coptics, and this is at the top of the list, and there are more items on this list); Egypt's troubles aren't only attributable to those outside of Egypt. In regards to changing Islam, Daniel, I suggest that you get in touch with Frank Schaeffer, whose father was a leading Evangelical apologist. For I suggest that what is best in the Orthodox Church has been there since the beginning. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
