SOCIAL ENGINEERING BY POPULATION MANIPULATIONReader comment on item: Why Was Enoch Powell Condemned as a Racist and Not Charles de Gaulle? Submitted by John Hasham (United States), Aug 20, 2013 at 12:07 One might conclude that the influx of non-traditional immigrants to a defined culture may have unintended consequences, specifically when the culture is markedly and adversely altered. But the political left and their supporters do intend the change, as they invariably believe tradition is antithetical to "progress." It is social engineering by population manipulation, i.e. if they cannot successfully change the present culture due to societal limits of acceptance and exhaustion of political change, they import a subculture and use them for their purposes. The left gets some kind of inexplicable immunity by assuming moral superiority vis-a-vis immigration, hiding behind labeling opponents xenophobes, racists, intolerant, etc., in order to advance their agenda of changing the society. Nothing more rapidly changes a society than sudden mass infusion of immigrants unwilling to assimilate to the extant culture but be easily manipulated for political purposes by one party with government handouts or policies lenient to their insular sub-culture, e.g. so-called diversity. Perhaps the examination of true motives in immigration policy should raise this question: Who approves of the existing culture and who does not? By pure, unassailable logic, if one seeks to knowingly change a culture by populating it with those against the culture, those seeking the change inherently disapprove of the culture and its underlying values, mores and standards. Viewing immigration on a purely economic basis, as the late Milton Friedman said, "It's just obvious that you cannot have free immigration and a welfare state." So, too, you cannot maintain a culture and populate it with those completely or substantially antithetical to the culture. A culture is only one immigration wave away from its extinction -- not phobia, simply fact.
