Government Cheese Trumps Foreign Affairs

About half of all Americans receive some form of government benefit, and the number is growing. To his credit, Obama recognized the need for universal health care, and, despite Obamacare's glaring faults, many people appreciate the gesture. Add in changing demographics which favor the Democrats and we have a country increasingly made up of dependents and takers, not movers and shakers. Even among Republicans there's been a resurgence of isolationism favoring Rand Paul.

The Middle East is important, but it's also nasty. It's far preferable to just stay home, watch TV and wait for your check.
