Scowcroft's Track RecordReader comment on item: Brent Scowcroft is Wrong: We Must Attack Saddam Submitted by Baruch Litvack (Canada), Aug 25, 2002 at 14:22 Scowcroft's at it again! If we had listened to him when he opposed action in Kosovo, Milosevic would still be in power and with Karadzic their genocide-driven tyranny would have continued unabated. Scowcroft always railed on about the limits of an air campaign, but Scowcroft's arguments were soundly refuted both in Kosovo leading to the ousting of Milosevic, and in Afghanistan eliminating the Taliban from power. And we all know the 'genius' of his advice to terminate the Gulf War WITHOUT regime change. The only thing that Scowcroft is 'expert' in, is giving the wrong advice.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
