War mongering must stop now.

Reader comment on item: Instant Retribution in the Middle East
in response to reader comment: Jihadis in Syria and is Turkey next on their agenda?

Submitted by Mozere (United Kingdom), Nov 20, 2013 at 02:40

I am not justfying murder, even if the victim were a shia he would have been a prisoner of war and thus should not have been killed .I am the last person to want a failed state next door to Turkey where Jihadists have a free reign.

I am merely saying that in the fog of war mistakes are made when the US and its allies killed their own soldiers. As Romsfeld said famously "there are known unknowns and unknown unknowns" in war.So once you start a war you do not know where it will end as in Iraq where hundreds continue to die monthly, and surelly the West and its allies must claim some responsibility for this as they dismanteled a state and its organs providing law and order, without a good reason as there were no WMD.

To borrow a phrase from Dr Pipes, you are a "moral midget" if you go on war mongering and arming the opposition (some of whom are loonies) as the West and its allies has done in Syria because millions of innocent people will get hurt for no significant cause.
