In Support of Geert WildersReader comment on item: Hating Geert Wilders Submitted by Mike Ramirez (United States), Mar 23, 2014 at 13:51 Geert Wilders has a very good reason to warn the Netherlands about the encroaching threat that has been brought about by immigrants who are unwilling to assimilate and become a productive part of his society. Mr. Wilders has often spoken to gatherings in America to share his experiences of the societal changes and disruptions being caused by fundamental Islamic groups that are now threatening the safety and well being of the local Dutch citizenry. No-go zones are being created as what is happening in Europe and women raped and beaten for wearing "revealing" attire. Yes, Mr. Wilders has a great cause for concern regarding the flood of immigrants whom he sees as a societal threat to his homeland. America needs to have someone as brave as Geert Wilders who will stand up against the liberal politicians and pro-Islamic agendas that seek to do the same in America as what is occurring in Europe, the countries of Scandinavia and Holland (The Netherlands). For Americans to fear speaking up and to remain politically-correct and complacent will result in the undoing of our own society. While Dr. Pipes may have a differing opinion on how to approach the present-day situation, I have high regard and respect for the braveness and courage displayed by Geert Wilders for standing up for his belief and convictions - even if it means enduring the scathing attacks against him by the media as well as by those within the the Dutch Parliament. Where are the "Geert Wilders" from within our present political leaders? Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
