We must be specific: Islamism / Islamists are the enemy, NOT IslamReader comment on item: Conservatives Rally on the Streets of Paris Submitted by Shel_TR (United States), Apr 3, 2014 at 11:53 I completely agree with Dr. Pipes' oft-stated position: Islamism is the enemy. Accordingly, we must all stand up against attempts to make Sharia superior to secular laws, and to attempts that "accommodate" Islam any moreso than any other religion. But we must also be very clear, and very strong, in our condemnation of racism, specifically (in this case) hatred towards Islam. Most notably, such hatred towards Islam is very evident among many of my Jewish co-religionists. From a religious POV, are they not also the children of G-d, equally formed in the image of G-d? And from a historical POV, this is a shameful failure to learn from our own past. (Personally, it's not only shameful, I go further -- it's outright disgusting). Submitting....
