"War coming to the Middle East" is hardly prophetic. The Middle East has had major wars in Israel, Lebanon, Kurdistan, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Algeria, Chad, Yemen... all since the end of WWII, plus revolutions and minor conflicts all around. In fact, if you wanted to avoid war in the area, I guess the only havens were Saudi Arabia and the GCC.

Lots of people are afraid of "war" happening in the Middle East. The Jews haven't rebuilt the temple, which is such a vital part of their religion and heritage, because of fear of war. They've been hesitant to settle in their own land for fear of war. All the while, they live surrounded by nothing BUT war.

Prophecies? I've been reading Daniel 7. It talks about God's people being conquered and oppressed by their enemies for 3½ years. Zechariah 14 talks about the exile, rape and pillage of Jerusalem. Both of these talk about the end times, seeing that they're immediately followed by the Messianic kingdom. Ezekiel 38-39 talks about a different war, in which Jerusalem is NOT sacked and Israel enjoys the fruits of victory for 7 years. That obviously happens BEFORE the other wars (and it will come, so far as I can see, from Turkey allied with Iran, Sudan and Libya).

Connecting the dots from not until then can be dicey business; but one thing is certain: Going around saying "War is coming" hardly accomplishes anything.

Here's something that IS important: Israel is surrounded by enemies who are so filled with hate, they eat one another for breakfast: Sunnis on Shiites; Sunnis on Sunnis; "Moderate" (ha ha) Sunnis on "Radical" Sunnis; and now, before our eyes in Syria, "Radical" Sunnis on each other, in bloody combat. Israel has been sitting in the eye of a swirling hurricane for three solid years. What's important to know, is that they are ALL your enemies, and just the closest ones at that. There is no real difference between them: Quarrelling and fighting are just a way of life with them, as they are for the Mexican drug cartels.
