We disagree re Jordan prophecies

Hi, Tom

I haven't found any truly "end time" prophecies concerning Jordan, other than Isaiah 19 that says there will be peace between Israel and both Egypt and "Assyria" (currently approximated by Iraq-Syria-Lebanon-Jordan. Ezekiel 38-39, which is certainly a prophecy for our times, makes no mention of Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon or Egypt -- quite possibly because none of these will be at war with Israel in the last days.

DEBKA today posits that Israel, Egypt and the PLO are confronting HAMAS as a solid bloc. None of these has a stigma attached to cooperating with Israel, since all of these -- as well as Jordan -- have concluded treaties with Israel already.

There is no doubt that the MB, Al Qaeda, IS and other Islamists pose a major threat to ALL the countries I've just mentioned; but as I said, the prophecies point against the Islamists and toward peace there.
