The Brookings Institute and Goebbels and he who pays the piper calls the tunes!Reader comment on item: Think Tanks for Sale or Rent Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Sep 15, 2014 at 13:20 Dr. Pipes It is really sad that an old think tank the likes of the Brookings Institute has no credibilty anymore. Take the case of Shadi Hamid who was in charge of their center in Qatar and now he is back in Washington. Just read his tweets and check his links. He had the audacity to call the MB in Egypt a democratic party and when he came under attack by the readers he changed it to the ridiculous "Illberal democracy" which is a joke oh and he wrote a book about it. I just wonder how many people bought his book Then he told the readers that if the MB is marginalized and its members terrorized (what ever that is) then its members will revert to terrorism. He was reminded by the readers that if this is true then the Copts in Egypt should be terrorists by now. Did he reply to this one? Any guesses? What is most amazing is that he is invited very often by the clueless news department at NPR in-order to dish out his nonsense Think tanks are about the truth because they will also sink if they do not tell the truth because readers now have vast access to information that did not exist back in 1916 when the Brookings Institute was founded Every time I hear him talking I can see Goebbels turning in his grave with a smile on his face Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
