Conspiracy TheoriesReader comment on item: Think Tanks for Sale or Rent Submitted by Alex (United States), Sep 15, 2014 at 18:47 I think that this article and the New York Times piece it references evince points about conspiracy theories that Dr. Pipes has made variously in his previous writings: despite accusations that A pro-Israeli lobby controls American policy in the Middle East, there is much evidence that some of those who engage in such conspiracy mongering are the ones guilty. Israel makes it's attempts to influence US policy through transparent, regulated channels (501c3, etc ... ), just as it shares information about its military tactics with foreign journalists for public relations. Apparently a state that behaves with such openness is more suspicious in the minds of antiSemitic writers than the anonymous donor lists of several nonprofit institutions in this country. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
