Comfort Level of Arabs in the Disputed Terrorities and in IsraelReader comment on item: Pro-Israel Palestinians Submitted by Sheldon Seltzer (United States), May 10, 2005 at 11:02 It is encouraging to hear some Palestinians applaud Israeli justice and compassion.Apparently Israeli Arabs are so comfortable with the rule of law in Israel, that today, 10 May 2005 on CNN international TV, an Israeli Arab lawyer was lamenting the fact that the Israeli flag had no meaning for her and the constant reference to "Israel being a Jewish State" was a source of irritation. Yes, freedom of speech, in a free society, functioning under the rule of law is a wonderful thing. Perhaps this person would find life more fulfilling in promulgating these precepts in one of Israel's neighboring states, any one of them.
