Footstool Commentaries IV - Nothing Easy About Eschatology From the Human PerpsectiveReader comment on item: Tour d'Horizon: ISIS, Iran, Turkey, and the Palestinians Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Feb 19, 2015 at 16:36 Interestingly, your mention that the two divergent references to Gog and Magog are not related leads to a certain speculation this observer noticed so long ago, that it makes it easier for some to dismiss in a later review of the Scripture and how the world today will be disastrously ignorant as its dip into calamity comes to reality. That being said, it is this observer's current discernment that while not easily connected, since Gog and Magog are indeed the same entities Scripturally, their separation from Ezekiel and the Apocalypse are in reference to differing spaces of time, from one event to the other. In the opening round of Ezekiel after Israel's rebirth, those Ch 38-39 enemies of Israel are 'sixed,' leaving a remnant to return from whence they came. It is expected by this observer's notice here that the remnants are the ones referred to in the Revelation for conclusion of the judgments of the nations as further highlighted in Zechariah. As for the conglomeration of the enemies of Israel in the inane attempt to wrestle for Jerusalem in the Biblically detailed barrage against Israel, your explorations are as logical as any this reader has read in a long time; so all we can do is wait and see.
