Tom Friedman makes me sickReader comment on item: The Emptying of Yemen Submitted by There is NO Santa Claus (United States), Apr 13, 2015 at 21:48 Friedman can't get it right; even when he tries. The snippet was doing great until Friedman shows off his ignorance by saying: "Yemen, a country of breathtaking beauty, with wonderful people, is a human development disaster. You see here what a half-century of political mismanagement, coupled with natural resource mismanagement, oil distortions and a population explosion has led to." Yemen isn't a "human development disaster". Yemen doesn't suffer from "political mismanagement". Yemen suffers from Arab tyranny. Friedman knows that. He doesn't have the courage to say it. Yemen has been in an eternal state of conflict throughout most my life. There was North Yemen and South Yemen. Then there was one Yemen. Now there's no Yemen. This is Arab tyranny in plain view and Tom Friedman doesn't have the basic work ethic to report it. Tom Friedman's reporting is a sham.
