Develop Islamist Detection Software FurtherReader comment on item: Finding Moderate Muslims - More Questions Submitted by Dave (United States), May 14, 2016 at 18:47 The Swiss software which sniffs out Islamist tendencies sounds like something that could prove very valuable if developed further. We could ultimately have the sort of accurate screening comparable to the Briggs Meyer Personality Indicator should scientists and scholars collaborate on a set of psychometrics for Islamism. The main barrier would be finding a team that agrees on what are often politically contentious criteria. My proposal: Have a new conservative adminstration draft the MEF to work with psychologists to develop the test. Otherwise, we may wind up with some bogus screening designed to censure Islamophobics. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: I have passed your idea along to a colleague at the Middle East Forum. Reader comments (31) on this item
