Whatever Happened To Turkey's Military?Reader comment on item: Erdoğan's Self-Indulgence Submitted by Dave (United States), May 20, 2016 at 20:04 Erdogan keeps pushing, but the final straw has yet to break. My question: Where is the famous secular military, keeper of Ataturk's legacy? Is that institution really neutered for good, or is it waiting in the wings? If the military cannot be counted on, then I wonder how Erdogan can be stopped. I hope you can help explain, Dr. Pipes.
