Maigret and the Bible

I try to keep my sanity, by following the lead of Maigret:

His motto is "Understand, but never judge!"

As for RAMBAM, he seems to have been a believer, not at all a skeptic. I always strive to use his methodology; with the exception that my confidence is only in the written Scriptures, not in tradition. Some things are to be understood literally, and some allegorically; but always according to written Torah. I am, of course, not Jewish; so I will never be a Maimonides.

The Maigret episode is good. He understood the killer, and solved the case. This is the power of the Bible. It is about many characters, but they are all us; and the things the Bible says will come to pass, will come to pass.
