Narcisists, Megalomaniacs and other DemoniacsReader comment on item: Erdoğan's Self-Indulgence Submitted by Michael S (United States), Jun 7, 2016 at 16:10 Thank you, Borek, for your facts and figures. I hear so much talk nowadays, about "narcisists", "megalomaniacs", and other bearers of demons. Former Senate Majority Leader John Boehmer's characterization of of Ted Cruz as "Lucifer Incarnate" has got to top the list; but slurs against Trump, Clinton, Erdogan, Netanyahu and everyone else, it seems, whose name is known to the public, are almost as extreme. So, as you say, quoting your mentors, "Politicians are found among Narcissistic Personalities and are good candidates for becoming once, paranoiac/megalomaniac.... if they weren't it already since their beginnings". I accept that. It puts the other matters in perspective. I cannot quote the source; but I have heard it said that some of the SS officers and guards who worked the death and forced labor camps were psychoanalyzed and found to be "normal". They did not suffer from hallucinations, delusions of grandeur, etc.; but they made very rational decisions, based on their circumstances: they sought self-preservation in an environment of madness.
