It's simple math that if a population doesn't limit it's birth rate then it will outpace a population that does. What I find more disconcerting is the power they gain to limit someone else's power or freedom. In my case growing up in an area with a large Amish population with great political power they were able to plow their fields all the way to the edge of the rivers, creeks and streams so that there was no buffer of trees and bushes to filter the polluted water that flowed into the water from manure etc. The fear of their political power outweighed the good of all the people. In more simple terms it saddens me to think that there will be many little girls that can't ride bikes and experience the joy of mobility because weird old men are paranoid.
