...and wondering how much of the funding they've received has been from Saudi Arabia and others of that ilk.

Unsurprisingly, in the U.S. media, they avowed to only accept domestic funds, while in Arab media (Asharq Al-Awsat -- link to a 5/18/2010 article is now dead http://www.asharq-e.com/news.asp?section=1&id=20990) they said otherwise.

A couple of months later, even in U.S. media, they wouldn't rule out seeking/accepting foreign funding (http://abcnews.go.com/print?id=11429998)
