Pillars & FundamentalsReader comment on item: No Saudi Money for American Mosques Submitted by susana moskowitz (United States), Aug 24, 2016 at 19:24 This is an important response to the Saudi government, as well as an important reaffirmation of our US values to our selves. It seems that many, and young Americans; do not understand what our country is founded on and how it needs to be protected. It's not enough to say that we honor and respect all religions and people's right to their religion, as it also does not mean that we undermine our fundamental values [which may not line up with everyone, as we are a Quaker/Christian based country] as a nation in order for a particular group to exercise theirs. Next, we have to find a way to undermine the Saudi's influence in our ivy league schools. They contribute big money, earning a seat and therefor a say; which has lead to their request to revamp the curriculum. They want to remake America, brick by brick; they are a very patient people as long as they see a road leading to their goals [spreading their way of life]. What better way to reshape world opinion and build a power base than through our young students. This type of interference has far reaching effect. Apparently they know some capitalists, in high office; can be bought. Pay to play, has very far reaching consequences. It puts us on a track to be completely undermined, and once we lose this country as we know it; we will never get it back. Our brand of Democracy has never, and could never be duplicated. Our schools has not taught our young how to appreciate and value what this country is about. We raised apologists. They feel we are morally corrupt, even in comparison to countries that mead out morally apprehensible practice and law. I cannot say enough about how this country is moving in the wrong direction. I would venture to say that an oligarchy is not far off, if Hillary wins. There is a billionaires club rallying for a global economy, suited for the ultra rich; while the rest labor under them. Just wait for them to sell everyone on going paperless money...if everyone is so enamored with their electronics; it will seem harmless to most everyone to go paperless. This will give big government all the power. Exactly what the Framers fought so hard against. Still work to do,
