The Peace Process FantasyReader comment on item: Arafat's Failure May Offer Seeds of Hope Submitted by Lawrence Kamm (United States), May 6, 2002 at 20:35 Dear Dr. Pipes:I hope you do not fall into the fashion of "peace process" deal design, as Safire has just done. Reality is recognizing the Arabs as permanent enemies and every concession is a defeat. Among the actions Israel can take are: 1. Expel 100 Arabs from Jerusalem for every murdered Jew. Notify them in advance so that each becomes an advocate for non-murder. 2. Closely and brutally police the West Bank and Gaza. Kill suspected terrorists. (They should have killed Arafat. It would be good NOT to have an Arab leader to pretend to deal with. They still can.) 3. Coerce the Arabs in Israel to move out, presumably to walk across the river to Jordan. Cut off food and water and they will go in a week. The NGOs will set up shop in Jordan in yet another refugee camp. Yes, I am a hawk. How many religious and ethnic wars were won by doves?
