Action Pays Off!Reader comment on item: Arafat's Failure May Offer Seeds of Hope Submitted by William J. Sturm (United States), May 7, 2002 at 00:26 Suicide bombings down to zero since serious power was used to reduce or eliminate the primary threat. That is good news. If you don't want to get hit....stop hitting! If not, you will be stopped from hitting. Every attacker should be treated accordingly. Every nation and every man has a right to self-defense. I agree with you Daniel.....this war may be about over. When the price becomes too high for the ones responsible they will either stop or will merely keep begging to be stopped! Most wars result when those being attacked are not willing to strike back quickly and effectively. They are soft on crime. And it is also a crime that capable military forces such as those in Israel (and our forces in Viet Nam and Korea) are constrained by the politicians and the United Nations. One recent letter to the editor in our local paper indicated that it should be made known that someone found committing such and such a crime will be shot on the spot. No work release or probation! Don't release the terrorist so they can strike you again. That only makes good sense to the terrorists. Folks sue for peace when they realize they have lost the war. And, they realize they have lost the war when they finally lose their will to fight. You don't have even have to declare a cease fire! When the attacks cease the war will end.
