Compromising on Terror will bring annihilation of the WestReader comment on item: Arafat's Failure May Offer Seeds of Hope Submitted by R. Crockett (United States), May 8, 2002 at 16:55 The highly touted "Peace Plan" of Oslo, Mitchell, Tenet, and Abdullah all failed because none dealt with the real problem -- terrorists. As a practical matter, the only "plan" that has worked worldwide has been tracking down the source of the terror -- terrorists -- and ending their activities. On the ground in Israel, the recent Operation Defensive Shield successfully suppressed terror to the point where the United Nations and the European Union terrorist apologists/supporters went insane making up all kinds of bizarre lies about Israel picking on the duplicitous terrorists. Let us face facts: the U.N. and the E.U. have a vested interest in a radical agenda -- "The people united, will never be defeated!" -- that is over and above their anti-Semitism -- "First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people." Even our own State Department practices a moral equivalency that borders on obscenity. And now, President Bush proposes to rearm the terrorists in Israel!Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
